An unidentified gang murdered a couple in cold blood at Sitapaila, Kathmandu, Wednesday night.

Natikaji Subedi, 43, and his wife Sanu Subedi, were stabbed to death at their rented flat.

Neighbors had taken the badly injured couple to Bir Hospital, but the doctors pronounced them dead upon arrival, police said.

Their 15-year-old son Biplab was also stabbed by the assailants and is undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital in critical condition.

Natikaji, who hailed from Morang district, was running a furniture factory at Sitapaila. Police said the motive behind the murder was unclear and that they had launched a manhunt to track down the murders.
