BAGLUNG, Oct 18 – Along with the presence of Royal Nepal Army(RNA) in tourism-hub Beni Bazar, the district headquarters of Myagdi, police has imposed here an undeclared curfew after nine o’clock in the evening, a source said.
According to a local trader who came recently in Baglung, police compels the shoppers, located close to the District Administration Office, to close their doors well after six o’clock in the evening, the busiest time for the hoteliers to serve the visiting tourists.
Largest number of locals rely here on hotel business which is mostly absorbed by foreign trekkers and pilgrims to Mustang and Lomanthang. A source close to the District Administration said that a 50-member contingent of RNA is currently staying at the office of Karmachari Milan Kendra (Employees’ Union Office).
