The UML delegation is leaving for a weeklong visit during which they will meet with senior Indian leaders and officials.

The UML delegation includes Standing Committee members Khadga Prasad Oli, Jhal Nath Khanal and Bharat Mohan Adhikari.

The delegation will meet with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other senior opposition leaders.

On Wednesday, Indian ambassador Shiv Shankar Mukherjee had called on general secretary Nepal at his residence in Koteshwore.

Earlier, a delegation of senior Nepali Congress leaders including Dr. Shekhar Koirala and Dr. Rambaran Yadav had also left for New Delhi.

The visit by UML leaders has come amid ongoing discussions among eight parties to break the current political deadlock by ending parliament impasse and declaring new election date.
