General secretary of CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal has said urged the Maoists to immediately stop excesses like murders, abductions and collection of forceful donations.

Inaugurating a Karam Puja festival of Jhangad community at Tanmuna VDC in Sunsari on Thursday Nepal urged Maoists to win peoples’ hearts.

“If Maoists want to win people’s heart, they should not threaten people, as no one is above people,” Nepal added.

“The people who dismantled the King’s autocracy can easily dismantle other forms of autocracy also,” Nepal warned Maoists.

Maoists extorting money from people forcefully in recent days, despite various clarifications from the top level leaders that they are not doing so.

Saying that the regressive forces are hatching conspiracy against constituent assembly polls, Nepal said obstacles should not be created if one wants to foil the conspiracies against CA polls and all sides need to adopt maximum flexibility.

Nepal stressed the need of representation of all castes and races in the parliament.

Stating that prosperity of all Nepali is not possible through centralized governance general secretary Nepal also said that has said the country should opt federal set up for overall development of people of all castes and creeds. the welfare of all people.

He also added that the citizenship problem will be resolved before the proposed constituent assembly elections.
