The U-17 Asia Cup Cricket semi-finals between Nepal and Kuwait being played at the Selangor Turf Club in Malaysia has been abandoned due to haze Thursday afternoon.
Nepal was sent to bat by Kuwait and had put herself in a strong position by tallying 132 runs with only two out in 28 overs, when the match was stopped due to haze.
Smoke from a nearby forest fire made it impossible for players to continue playing, cricketnepal.org reported.
The match will continue tomorrow with Kuwait chasing 186 runs from 28 overs as per Duckworth Lewis regulations.
Nepal reached the semifinals Wednesday by beating hosts Malaysia by 9 runs in a closely contested match.
