U-17 Asia Cup Cricket: Nepal into quarterfinals

Nepal qualified to the quarterfinals of the Under-17 Asia Cup Cricket from Group ‘C’ after Afghanistan registered an easy win over Brunei in a match played at Penang Sports Club, Malaysia.

Nepal secured place in the quarterfinals as the Group ‘C’ runner-up and will face Group ‘B’ winner Singapore in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, according to NepalCricket.com.

Other quarterfinal matches will be played between Qatar and Kuwait, Afghanistan and Malaysia, and United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain.

Nepal was beaten by Afghanistan in a match on Friday but thrashed Brunei by 10 wickets on Saturday.

Afghanistan scored 356/9 in allotted 45 overs after being invited to bat first by Brunei and bowled out Brunei for only 12 runs in just 8.4 overs.
