Two police personnel have been killed and eight civilians including a minor have been injured when a bomb exploded at a police check post at Anchalpur in southern town of Bhairahwa Friday morning.
According to reports, two police personnel including a woman police, were killed when they were carrying out security check of a mini-bus. Eight passengers traveling in the mini-bus were also injured in the explosion. They are undergoing treatment at a local hospital, police said.
HBC FM, a Kathmandu-based private FM station, quoted a local Maoist commander as saying that they had caused the explosion at the police check post using a remote control.
