Two Nepalese sentenced to death in China

The Chinese government recently awarded the death penalty to two Nepali citizens who had been accused of drug trafficking in China.

According to Friday report in Kantipur daily, the two have been identified as Ravi Dahal and Ishwori Kumar Shrestha of Morang and Sindhupalchowk districts respectively. The daily added that the duo was arrested in the Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, last year with almost 30 kilograms of narcotics.

Meanwhile, the Chinese government announced life imprisonment for another Nepali involved in drug trafficking. No further details were available.
