Two persons were killed and two other injured when a bomb went off at Hariharpur village development committee of Surkhet district on Tuesday.

The dead have been identified as Sher Bahadur Karki of Nepal Army and 12-year-old boy Hum Bahadur Rana.

The bomb went off immediately when Karki, who had returned to the village on leave, threw the bomb nearby.

Karki and Rana died on the way to Birendranagar for treatment.

Two other injured, Mansara Rana and Rajesh Bahadur Rana, are undergoing treatment at regional hospital in Biratnagar.
