A police patrol Sunday arrested two Indian nationals with counterfeit Nepali currency notes from a hotel at Baudha, Kathmandu, a published report said Tuesday.
Gorchan Singh, 48 and Kawaljit Singh, 25 were arrested from the casino of Hyatt Regency Hotel with Rs.15,000 fake Nepali notes in 1,000 denominations, Annapurna Post said, quoting police.
Gorchan was a resident of New Rajendranagar, Delhi and Kawaljit was from Pallenagar Delhi, the daily said.
The duos were kept at the local Baudha police station for the night and were forwarded to the District Police Office, Kathmandu for further investigations, the daily quoted police inspector Shishir Kumar Karmacharya, chief of the police station, as saying.
