KATHMANDU: A mother gave birth to triplets at Kosi Zonal Hospital in Biratnagar Thursday, hospital sources said. Laxmi Debi Kamat, 20, and the infants have been transferred to B.P. Koirala Memorial Hospital in Dharan for observation.

The triplets weighing one kilogram each were born in a space of eight minutes. Young Laxmi is now a proud mother of six children.
