Crown Prince Paras will kickoff the prestigious Tribhuvan Memorial Gold Cup football tournament at the recently repaired Mechi Stadium in Jhapa later Thursday after a 12 year break, organizers said. The stadium was damaged seven years ago.

Fourteen teams from Nepal, India and Bangladesh are participating in the 12 day tournament. Jhapa-XI and United Kurseyong Football Club (KUFC) meet in the opening fixture.
