The trekking trail at Tal, the bordering village of Lamjung and Manang, on the way to Annapurna Circuit has been disrupted from Sunday, due to flooding of the Marsyandi river.

A press statement issued by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) said, the trekking trail was washed away when Marsyandi river flooded on July 16, 2006.

“Since the flooding water has poured into the trekking trail, the movement of the people in this area has been disrupted since Monday,” the statement adds.

According to NTB, Police, Nepal Army and the officials of District Administration Office-Manang are assessing the damage.

The NTB has requested trekkers to check with their service providers like trekking agents and guides before going to trekking in this route.
