Three royalist groups unite

As various political parties are mulling to form various fronts before the elections of the constituent assembly, three factions of royalist parties announced their merger on Tuesday.

Three royalist factions Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal led by Rabindra Nath Sharma, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Nationalists) led by Rajeshwore Devkota and Nepal Bidwat Parisad led by Jit Bahadur Arjel declared their unification amidst a function on Tuesday.

They said that the main objective of the united party would be to make Nepal strong and prosperous, maintain Nepal’s identity as a multi ethnic, multi lingual, democratic, independent, sovereign and Hindu Kingdom.

They also announced that they would hold the party’s general convention by mid-March.

Rabindra Nath Sharma will lead the party until the convention and Devkota will remain respected leader.
