Three poachers held in Chitwan

Authorities have arrested three poachers from Chitwan on Tuesday. The District Forest Office of Chitwan has also recovered a rhino horn from their possession.

According to reports, those arrested include Sonam Chhiring Lama of Bouddha and two ladies. The two ladies were arrested from Sauraha chowk on the basis of secret tip-off.

Following reports of growing incidents of rhino poaching, authorities and local people of Chitwan have started making efforts to control poaching.

In the last six months, over one dozen rhinos were killed by poachers in Chitwan park. The one-horned rhino are very rare species and prime attraction for tourists.
