Security forces killed three Maoists in continuing operations in Rolpa and Bardia Sunday, the Defence Ministry said Tuesday. The army shot dead two rebels in Rolpa and one in Bardia, the Ministry said.
The army recovered three concealed guns, explosives and socket bombs during a search in Bajura Sunday. Altogether 250 Maoist activists surrendered to security forces in Sindhupalchowk Friday bringing to 1,521 the number of insurgents surrendering to the army in the district since an emergency was slapped on November 26 last year.
