A team of faculty members of Mass Communication and Journalism from Thammasat University, Thailand is in Nepal to do a documentary entitled “Journey to Janakpur” based on His Majesty the King of Thailand’s book on Janakpur, the legend of Janak, Rama and Sita.
The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is supporting the making of the documentary that will cover ancient Videh’s geography, culture, religion and people.
NTB believes that the touch on Buddhism, Kingship and other similar cultural factors in the documentary would help in building a more stronger relationship between Thailand and Nepal.
The team is visiting places like Kathmandu, Janakpur, Lumbini, Pokhara and Nagarkot during their stay till December 18.
The documentary will be released on the auspicious occasion of 60th birth anniversary of the Thai King next year.
