Tens of thousands of Maoists cadres are gartering at Khulamanch (Open Air Theatre) to take part in the mass meeting of the Maoists.

According to eyewitness, Maoist cadres in more than 200 vehicles entered from Thankot checkpoint of the capital to take part in the mass meeting.
Maoists have said more than 300,000 people will take part in the mass meeting and more than 5,000 volunteers have been mobilized to manage the crowd.
This is the first mass meeting of the Maoists after they announced ceasefire and started talks with the government.
Traffic inside the Ring Road in Kathmandu came into halt due to the mass meeting. Only small vehicles are plying inside the ring road area.
Rallies that began from various parts of the city have been converging at the open theatre.
Members of the rebels’ talks team and other senior leaders of the party are scheduled to address the gathering.
Reports said Maoists took control of 450 vehicles in Chitwan, 80 in Gorkha, 70 from Rupandehi, 70 from Sindhupalchowk, 200 in Banepa and Ramechhap to ferry their cadres and people to attend the mass meeting.
The security patrols has been intensified in the capital. Armed Police Force personnel and Nepal Police were seem patrolling in various parts of the city.
The Nepal Army (NA) is guarding the royal palace to avoid any untoward incident.
However, earlier speaking at a press conference on Thursday, coordinator of the Maoists talks team Krishna Bahadur Mahara said that the mass meeting would be peaceful ones.
