Royal Nepal Airlines (RNAC) has suspended its flights to Taplegunj from Biratnagar for three months during the current monsoons because of water logging of the airport, officials said.

RNAC operated five flights a week between Biratnagar and Taplugunj which does not have an all-weather airport.

Minister for Civil Aviation Bal Bahadur K.C. Sunday inaugurated the Jumla airport constructed with a Rs.45.79 million loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Meanwhile, airlines have reduced the number of flights between Kathmandu and Pokhara after a drastic fall in traffic following the decline in tourist arrivals. nepalnews.com br July 22
