The vice president of Nepali Congress (NC) Sushil Koirala has said that continued activities of Maoist-affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) were sending negative message.

Stating that the Maoists must correct their behavior before elections for the Constituent Assembly (CA) can be held, Koirala told reporters on Friday that he cannot ‘predict what consequences will follow’ if that doesn’t occur.

“I feel the rift is widening among the eight parties. I am worried with this. Everyone should worry,” Koirala said.

Along with Sushil Koirala, another influential Congress leader Sujata Koirala, too, has been repeatedly criticising the ‘self-proclaimed policing activities’ by the YCL cadres.
