Supreme Court reduces bond

KATHMDNU: A one-man bench of Supreme Court Justice Top Bahadur Singh Thursday reduced bonds slapped by the Patan Appellate Court on a senior Nepal Bank Ltd. official and two businessmen for release after conviction on corruption charges.

The Court reduced the bond of Deputy General Manager Sher Bahadur Thapa to Rs.8 million from Rs.20 million. The court reduced businessman Mohan Sahani’s bond from Rs.15 million to Rs.6 million and the bond of Durga Pandey of the Sahani Group to Rs.2 million from Rs.6 million.
