Students clash with police at Min Bhaban college in their half hour long chakka jam (halt traffic movement) program in protest of the recent Nagarkot incident, Monday, Dec 19 05. nepalnews.com/rh

At least four students have been injured and over a dozen others have been taken into custody during fresh clashes between agitating students and police in various parts of the capital, Kathmandu, Monday morning.

Clashes took place as students were trying to enforce half-an-hour long ‘chakka jam’—halt traffic movement– in protest of killings of a dozen civilians by a soldier at Nagarkot last week.

Police took student activists into custody from Min Bhaban and central campus, Kirtipur. A journalist with Gorkhapatra daily, Prakash Acharya, was injured badly during police action as he was coming out of R. R. campus. Acharya is a student of journalism and mass communications at the campus.

Police said traffic has now resumed along major routes.
