Students, who braved severe baton-charge on Wednesday, have plans to continue the “anti-regressive” protests on Thursday at 3 pm in different parts of the capital, student sources said.
According to the sources, the students will first hold a “public hearing” at Tri Chandra College at 12 pm. Many human rights activists and leaders will take part in the program, it is learnt. The students will then march rallies.
The students have been pressing the government to “apologise” for the arrests of three student leaders on December 16. The government arrested them for shouting anti-monarch slogans.
They were charged of sedition at the Kathmandu special court. The government later on withdrew the charges amid continued protests from the students. nepalnews.com mr Jan 8
