At least 22 students were injured, four seriously, when agitating students clashed with police in front of Amrit Science College, Lainchaur, Kathmandu, Monday.
The clash took place as police intervened at a peaceful protest programme organized by the student organization demanding ‘full fledged democracy’ and immediate release of the arrested student leaders, All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) leaders told Nepalnews. ANNFSU is a pro UML students’ organization.
The four seriously injured students have been hospitalized. Protests were also conducted in Saraswoti Multiple Campus, Lainchaur.
Meanwhile, the ANNFSU has condemned the police intervention.
