One of the members of the Maoist talks team Dina Nath Sharma has said that there was delay in establishment of republican set up in the country due to status quo nature of some of the leaders of the seven political parties.

Speaking at an interaction held at Frankfurt, Germany, Maoist leader Sharma also alleged that the peace talks between the ruling seven party alliance and Maoists have not reached to a logical conclusion as some leaders are trying to save monarchy.

He further said that the monarchy lost its power due to 11 year long Maoist’s people’s war and 19 day long Jana Andolan (People’s movement) II.

Addressing the same programme, another Maoist leader Suresh Ale Magar talked about the various aspects of 11-year long people’s war.

He urged all Nepalis residing abroad to contribute for the establishment of a republican set up in the country.

Maoist leaders also answered questions about the foreign policy of the party, the status of disappeared people, role of India and China, election of the constituent assembly and 12-point agreement between the seven party alliance and Maoists, among others.
