The HoR has decided to take fresh oath as per the historic proclamation on May 18.
Speaker Nemwang took oath of office himself and administered oath of office and secrecy to Deputy Speaker Chitra Lekha Yadav, members of the HoR, members of National Assembly, Secretary General of HoR Surya Kiran Gurung and presidents of various parliamentary committees separately.
Those taking oath of office included former royal ministers and members of the National Assembly, Mrs. Yang Kila Sherpa and Dr. Roop Jyoti.
They expressed allegiant to the HoR proclamation 2006 that drastically royal power.
Former Minister Badri Prasad Mandal, who was grilled by the high level commission formed to investigate the atrocities committed to suppress the popular movement of the country, on Tuesday also took oath of office.
Royal throne and Rajdanda were removed from HoR, while the oath taking ceremony was being held.
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala was not present at the oath taking ceremony due to his ill health.

According to officials at the parliament secretariat, the oath taking ceremony for the Prime Minister and other ministers would be organized separately.
Similarly, the oath of office to the heads of the constitutional organs except Judiciary would be administered separately.
The HoR proclamation earlier said all the officials holding public office must take oath of office before the special committee of the HoR and would lose their job if they refused.
