Terming the arms management the core issue, Gyawali said the concerned parties were holding bilateral and multilateral dialogues among them and with the Maoists on the matter.

General Secretary of the CPN-ML, CP Mainali, said that things would go smoothly as the alliance had set up a task force to do homework before reaching any formal decision.

Mainali said the proposed summit-level talks were deferred as the alliance and the Maoists had not finalised their agendas of discussion in the summit talks.

He also made it clear that the Maoists’ proposal of merging their armed forces with the State’s would be unacceptable at the national and international levels.

He warned that conflict management would face a setback if the concerned parties failed to set sequences for the peace process. nepalnews.com pb
