Six million robbed from Nabil bank (3:00 pm)

Rupees six million have been robbed from the Nabil Bank, Kantipath on Tuesday afternoon, police told Nepalnews. The police however, added that the amount was yet to be confirmed.

According to reports, the assailants robbed one of the service counters at gun point. The robbers also set fire to the bank causing some damage to the building. Details of the incident are yet to come.

Police has taken a taxi plated number Ba. 01. Ja. 3323 for investigation. Security is beefed up in the area with police surrounding the bank premises.

Transactions of the main branch of the bank has been moved to its Kamaladi branch. Bank officials were not available for comments regarding the robbery. nepalnews.com pd Dec 14 04
