Security forces shot dead at least six Maoists at Pradsindhu in Solokhumbu Wednesday evening, security sources said.

Rebels were killed in retaliatory firing after an attack on a patrol. One security man was injured in the firing that started at seven in the evening.

India deported three Maoists who slipped across the border to India for medical treatment Monday in Siddhaarthanagar, Nepal Samacharpatra said quoting security agencies. The three were arrested en route to New Delhi and Lucknow for medical treatment.
