At least six persons were killed and over a dozen others injured when a jeep heading for Tansen, Palpa district, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge Monday morning.

Reports said the jeep coming from western part of Palpa carrying 20 passengers slipped some 300 meters down the road at Batase area, Palpa, at around 9:00 a.m., killing three passengers on the spot while three others died on their way to hospital.

The injured persons have been taken to Palpa Mission Hospital for treatment.
