Rishikesh Shaha was cremated at Pashupatinath Aryaghat Thursday afternoon in the presence of several hundred well-wishers. Shaha died Wednesday of lung cancer, asthma and heart complications, his family said.

Politicians, diplomats and persons from all walks of life paid floral tribute to Shaha at his home in Chandol where he died.

Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand and others have condoled Shaha’s death in messages.
