At least seven persons have been killed and three dozen others were injured when a passenger bus plying from Sandhikharka, the district headquarter of Arghakhanchi, to Kapilvastu in western region met with an accident at Patharkot bordering Arghkhanchi and Kapilvastu districts Saturday afternoon.

Police said injured personnel are undergoing treatment at local hospitals in Butwal and Bhairahawa. Police said an investigation is underway to find out the cause of the accident.
