The government has sacked seven chiefs of public enterprises under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, an official announcement said Wednesday.

Chief of the National Trading Ltd., Milan Bikram Shah, Industrial Estate Management Ltd. Chief Ramakant Mainali, Chief Executive of the Trade Promotion Centre Deb Bahadur Rokaya and General Manager of the Birgunj Sugar Factory Shiba Bhurtel have been dismissed, the Ministry said.

Bir Bahadur RC, Chief of the Cottage Industry Development Board, General Manager of the Nepal Transit and Warehousing Co.Ltd Gobinda Pathak and General Manager of the Hetauda Cement Factory Bharat Kunwar have also been dismissed.

They were political appointees of the outgoing government of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Dueba. They have been replaced by regular officers of the enterprises.
