Makawanpur, June 5: Makawanpur DDC chairman Rameswore Rana inaugurated the orientation and review seminar of the Praja Community Development Programme (PCDP) jointly organised by the DDC and PCDP at ward No. 8 Chainpur of Raksitang Village Development Committee.
The seminar is being attended by 250 people of the Praja community from 10 VDCs of the western part of Makawanpur district.
On the occasion DDC chairman Rana urged the Praja community to involve themselves in the agricultural sector and not to depend on the government only.
DDC vice-chairman Badri Prasad Lamsal said the DDC is making every effort to promote the religion, art, culture and language of the Praja community.
At the function chaired by DDC member Purna Dhoj Khadka, Local development officer Ramesh Kant Poudel, senior AIDS officer Jhabindra Bhandari, vice-president of the Makawanpur unit of Nepal Chepang Association Bishnu Ram Praja, chief of APROS Nepal Khopnarayan Shrestha, chairman of Raptirang VDC Krishna Bahadur Praja and representative of the Makawanpur District Praja Development Programme Rajaram Thapa also expressed their views.
