New reports quoting the court officials said the SC on Thursday postponed the hearing on Sobhraj case until September 13.
Sobhraj, also known as ‘Bikini killer’ and ‘The Serpent’, who has been imprisoned in Nepal for nearly three years after his arrest in Kathmandu, has been accused of murdering two foreign tourists – a Canadian and an American – nearly three decades ago in a Kathmandu suburb.
The Kathmandu District Court some time ago slapped him 20 years of jail sentence for the murder of the US tourist, Connie Joe Brozich.
His Nepali lawyers had last month appealed against the District Court’s verdict at the apex court.
Born of an Indian father and Vietnamese mother, Sobhraj has over a dozen murder charges in several courtiers including India and Thailand.
