Sachit Pradhan wins Mr. Himalayan title

Sachit Pradhan won the title of Mr.Himalaya with 100,000 cash in the 2nd Mr. Himalaya Open Body Building Championship in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Ram Bahadur Dahal of Nepal Byayam Mandir came second and Harish Shrestha was third and won Rs 50,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively. Naresh Maharjan, Shyam Shrestha and Bhuvan Man Joshi finished fourth, fifth and sixth respectively and received Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.

In other categories, Ram Bahadur Dahal won the 55 kg title. Sachit Pradhan claimed the 60 kg title. Bimal Shrestha and Surendra Bahadur Shahi finished runners up. Shyam Shrestha bagged the 65 kg category title. Harish Shrestha won the 70 kg title and Bhuvan Man Shrestha won the 75 kg title.

In total, 130 body builders from 35 districts took part in the competition which was also considered as the preliminary selection for the 15th Asian Games to be held in Doha, Qatar in December. Jeewan Ram Shrestha, member secretary of National Sports Council, gave away prizes to the winners.
