The seventh general  assembly Wednesday approved an annual budget of Rs.149.8 million for the Eastern University for the fiscal year 2002/3 an announcement said.

Rs.107.9 million has been earmarked for development while Rs.41.7 million has been set aside for regular expenditure. Prime Minister and Chancellor of the University Sher Bahadur Deuba chaired the meeting.
