Kathmandu, June 25 : The Rastriya Prajatantra Party parliamentary party meeting today expressed serious concern over the deteriorating state of law and order in the country and decided to raise voice in the 18th parliamentary session for peace and security of public life and property in the country.
The meeting also demanded that His Majesty’s Government review the bill concerning citizenship in order to take effective and practical measures for the long-term resolution of problems relating to citizenship.
Paying heartfelt tributes and praying for eternal peace to the departed souls of those killed in the incident that took place in Panchkatiya of Jajarkot district on June 7, the meeting also expressed heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
Expressing sorrow over the loss of life and property caused by floods and landslides following heavy downpur since the past fews day in Tanahu and Lamjung districts, the meeting urged His Majesty’s Government to provide immediate relief assistance to the victims.
Stating that the state of law and order in the country is becoming disastrous and complicated, the meeting chaired by RPP parliamentary party leader and president Surya Bahadur Thapa also drew the attention of His Majesty’s Government towards guaranteeing peace and security to the general public and maintaining law and order in the country.
