The Rastriya Prajatanta Party (RPP) has begun internal discussion on the ways to present itself during the elections to the constituent assembly.
The first meeting was held on Thursday. Though not part of the seven-party coalition, the RPP has strongly supported the issue of election to the constituent assembly.
The RPP has not made clear its agenda for constituent assembly. Chairman Pashupati Rana had said a few days back the matter would be finalized soon.
“They (seven-parties) have already seen the Maoist strength in the capital recently,” Khem Raj Pandit, joint general secretary, quoted Rana as saying during the meeting, while suggesting that the alliance be extremely cautious while moving ahead. “This can lead them to nowhere,” he said.
