The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) today submitted a 15-point memorandum to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala demanding the status of opposition in the interim parliament and a “fair share” in the local bodies, among others.
A RPP in its memorandum also demanded immediate announcement of the date for constituent assembly so the prevailing confusion could be cleared. A RPP delegation led by party chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana met with the Prime Minister at his official residence in Baluwatar.
Talking to reporters after submitting the memorandum, Rana said the Prime Minister was positive about the demands and pledged to consider them.
The RPP chief, however, warned that his party would be compelled to launch street protests if its demands go unheeded by the eight-party government.
