The scheduled central committee meeting of Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand’s RPP that could not materialize Sunday will now be held Monday, the party said.
“The meeting could not be held for special seasons” the party said Sunday without specifying the reason. Chand held a luncheon meeting with the central committee members of the party Saturday to satisfy his critics who are pressing for his resignation either as party leader or prime minister.
Critics also charge Chand for failure to implement five directives of King Gyanendra in more than three months, including holding of early national elections and control of corruption. Some Chand critics also want the inclusion of RPP members in the government.
