His Majesty King Gyanendra and Queen Komal visited Janakpurdham to grace the Bibahapanchami festivities Thursday.
Thousands of local people, government officials and the devotees including from the neighboring India turned up to receive the royal couple when they landed in Janakpur at 11:30 a.m.
Their Majesties performed puja at the Ram-Janaki temple and observed the religious ceremony organized to mark the traditional Ram-Sita marriage. Tens of thousands of devotees participated the marriage procession that arrived in Janakpur from Ayodhya, India.
The King and the Queen returned to the capital in the evening.
