As the ruling seven party alliance and the Maoists are holding high level talks, the Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) put forward a five-point agenda, asking the two sides to address this immediately.
Tuesday’s Central Working Committee meeting of the RJP held in the capital said these crucial issues should be addressed immediately to pave the way to a constituent assembly, a new constitution and the establishing of a new Nepal.
A press statement issued by the RJP has also called the concerned parties to take up immediate and credible arms management before forming an interim government.
Stating that people across the country are still suffering from Maoist blockades, extortions, abductions, seizure of property, arbitrary accusations and punishment, the RJP has urged the Maoists to stop all such activities and scrap their people’s courts and ‘people’s government’.
The party also demanded to return all the properties looted by the Maoists.
The RJP has urged the government to take immediate initiative for the rehabilitation of all conflict victims and internally displaced people and the provision of necessary support and compensation to them.
