KATHMANDU: Government Friday deputed former high profile Home Secretary Sri Kant Regmi to the Office of the Prime Minister, an official said. Regmi was shunted out of the Home Ministry earlier in the week to the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare.

Reports said Regmi developed differences with Home Minister Khum Bahadur Khadka prompting the move. Rabi Bahadur Bista replaces Regmi at the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare.

Bista, against whom an investigation body had ordered  an inquiry for corrupt practices, was shunted out of the PM’s office in a bizarre move days after his appointment there.
