The Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) is all set to send Rajendra Bhandari to Malaysia for his sample “B” test to finalize whether he is clean or a cheat in the doping scandal. NOC will send a request letter to analyze the “B” Sample to the Doping Commission of the 10th SAG on Wednesday.
NOC has planned to send Dr. Anil Shrestha and two other persons to Malaysia for the “B” sample test.
Appointed Orthopedic Surgeon Dr Shrestha said that he would meet Bhandari on Wednesday and would try to forward the letter by evening. Bhandari tested positive for the banned drug Norandrosterone at the 10th SAG after winning gold medals in 5,000m and 3,000m steeplechase. Bhandari is denying any use of the drug to increase his body prowess during the tournament.
According to reports, the team will leave for Malaysia on October 2.
