This year’s Press Council Gopal Das award for excellence in journalism has been awarded to Pushkar Lal Shrestha, Chairman of Kamana Publications, an announcement said.

The Kamana Publications publishes Nepal Samacharpatra, Mahanagar and Kamana. The award carries a Rs.40,000 prize.

The prize is named after Gopal Das Shrestha, publisher and editor of Commoner daily newspaper.
