Student organizations affiliated to five agitating parties have damaged vehicles worth Rs.35 million in the last 23 days in the Valley, police said Wednesday.

The students vandalized 32 vehicles – 28 vans, two motorcycles, a tempo and a tanker, the Rising Nepal said, quoting District Police Office, Kathmandu.

Among the vehicles, 13 vans and a motorcycle were government- owned and 10 vans and a tanker were corporation-owned. Likewise, a privately owned motorcycle and a tempo and five other vans were also vandalized, the daily said.

“Two police inspectors were seriously injured and 22 policemen sustained injuries while controlling the agitating mass in different parts of the city,” said Superintendent of Police Dipak Ranjit.
