Kathmandu: A drinking water project has been completed at Ward No. 8, Chune Odar of Jenla VDC in Sindhupalchowk district.
The drinking water project was constructed at the total cost of Rs 633,000. Of the total project cost His Majesty’s Government had provided Rs 149,000, the VDC had sanctioned Rs 60,000 and local voluntary labour worth Rs 423,000 was also mobilised for the project.
The project benefits a population of 300 in the locality. Similarly, separate drinking water projects have been commissioned in Phulpingkot VDC, Ward No. 7 and 8 at the total cost of Rs 1,037,000, according to the District Water Supply Office.
The project benefits a population of 857 from 12 public taps installed under the project.
