Press and tour operators’ meet in Japan

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Nepalese Embassy in Tokyo, Japan jointly organized a press and tour Operators Meet on Friday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of establishment of Nepal-Japan diplomatic relationship.

A press statement issued by the NTB said, as Nepal and Japan are celebrating the historic event this year, this program further helped to re-strengthen the ties between our two nations at the government and as well as in people to people level.

Charge d’ Affairs and Acting Nepali Ambassador for Japan, Paras Ghimire reiterated the age-old ties between the two nations and appreciated the support extended by Government of Japan.

He also assured the Japanese media and tour operators that Nepal was never unsafe for tourists and recent political development and the peace process would be conducive for Nepalese tourism industry to grow.

Subash Nirola, Director of Nepal Tourism Board informed the media and tour operators about the security situation of the country.

Nirola, pledged an open invitation to the media people and tour operators to visit Nepal on a familiarization tour in order to collect first hand information on Nepal by themselves.

Prominent Japanese media, tour operators and friends of Nepal, representative of Nepal Airlines and Nepalese trekking and tour operators were also present on the occasion.

In addition to the press and tour operators meet, Nepal Tourism Board is also actively participating in “Nepal Week” organized by jn50, the Co-operation Committee for Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Japan-Nepal Diplomatic Relations in Akhiabara Hall, Tokyo.
