The Office of Examination Control has informed that it has completed all preparations for this year’s School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations.

This year’s SLC is beginning from April 4. Around 368,678 students will appear for the exams across the country.

The OCE has fixed 1186 exam centers across the country. Likewise, around 15,467 exam inspectors; 3000 supervisors; and 11,860 security personnel will be deployed to conduct the examinations.

As per the government’s decision, examinees will only face questions from syllabus of Grade 10 this year. In the past, they faced questions from syllabus of Grade 9 and 10.

Meanwhile, eight parties and their sister organisations have vowed not to hold any programme to disrupt the examinations.

SLC is regarded as important stepping stone in high school education in the country.
